Polite and Proper Pin Trading ;)

There are just a few simple rules to pin trading at Disney parks:

• First, and most important, pins are only "trade-able" if they have the Disney copyright logo on the back.
• Money should never be used to trade pins (only pins for pins). This is what keeps trading fun!
• You can trade a max. of 2 pins per cast member per day, as long as they don't already have that pin/s.
• Try not to touch or grab pins, simply ask to see a person/cast member's pins.
• Keep the rubber Mickey pin backing attached to prevent stabbing someone's hand.

That's pretty much it, simple right? :)

The Basics of Disney Pins

Disney Pins are sold at all Disney Parks as well as on the Disney website at a variety of prices (from $5-$50+). There are thousands and thousands of different pins - character pins, attraction pins, mickey head pins, jumbo pins, vinylmation pins, hidden Mickey/cast member pins, and mystery pins. Phew! The variety of pins can be overwhelming, but don't worry, just have fun collecting!



Many people collect pins with their favorite characters or themes; others try to find the rarest and limited edition pins.  Hidden Mickey/cast ember pins are traded with cast members working inside the parks - these hidden Mickey pins are part of sets, creating a challenge for dedicated pin traders. Cast member wear either a lanyard around their neck or a hip lanyard, so keep a look out next time you are in a Disney park. Most pin traders display their pin collections on lanyards and/or in pin trading books!

The most import part of pin trading is to have fun!
